This is just a crappy movie

It really is full of promise of a good film and I'm sure it has it's good points like the passion of the police involved but I had to turn it off half way through. It was just so imbalanced in it's portrayal of everyone with the whole cast all acting like pissed off a-holes the whole time.

Set in Texas you could expect some great Texas blues for the soundtrack but no. There is just nothing at all uplifting about the movie. The dismal mood just isn't justified by current events. I mean if you're a homicide detective you don't act like your own mother was just killed every time you get a call out?!

If you like the show "The Killing" this seems to have a similar darkness to it. I actually like that show because it has a mixture of things going on emotionally and plot-wise. This movie just seems to stand around and wallow in it's own misery for it's own sake.

If there was a plot it was undetectable. It's like they had no idea where they were going with it, almost like it had 3 directors or something.

I had no interest in anything happening on screen so I say it's a crappy movie. I think the premise is sound, the actors can act their parts, but it's just really so so in it's execution.
