Kate Beckinsale, easily best part of this movie!

I rewatched it again and actually found myself wishing Kate had more screen time! She was dope as hell! And when she was on screen she ate that *beep* up! Her action scenes were great (especially the one in the elevator), and she was great villain, a straight bitch. She should look into plaing the villain more.

Agreed, she was the only thing about this movie I remotely enjoyed. The rest is completely bland and forgettable (which probably helped her look even better), but Kate definitely owned in her role and seemed to have a blast playing the villain. She definitely stole all her scenes, and yes. Her fight scenes were definitely the best (and, really, only memorable) ones, which is kinda important when your movie is basically going from one action scene to the next.

The film was practically a showcase for her, instead of the actors playing heroes we're supposed to care about. They mixed the parts originally played by Sharon Stone and Michael Ironside into her character for this. Goes to show where the priorities of the hack director - Kate's husband - were.

Everyone else may be an a**hole, but I'm not! - Harlan Ellison

Well Wiseman must have wised up, since he filed for divorce.

I would have had HER play the main character.

I thought Kate B.she was fantastic.

Looked great and stole the show.

What i found interesting was the difference between her and Jessica Biel. Kate doesn't run around talking about how pretty she is. She just is. Plus, she has eons more talent than Jessica.

Jessica, on the other hand, probably screwed up her own career later, when she claimed that she was "so beautiful" that she could not get roles. She couldn't get roles because she didn't have the talent. Marrying Justin Timberlake was supposed to make them the next "Power Couple" of Hollywood. Apparently, that didn't work out either.
