When the quality of a movie can't win the argument.

They'll all resort to box office numbers.

reply

Did you read the numerous good reviews, yes I can provide links

reply

I don't find that necessary. I'm aware there are people that enjoyed the movie.

reply

Reviews were mostly negative.

reply

this movie let me down hard. no BO numbers, no good reviews could change that

reply

If you hated it that's fine, freedom of speech !

reply

then don't try to attack the people who didn't like with overzealous 'hip, hip, horray. Look how good this movie is just because how much money it made.' Just say you thought it was a good movie and be done with it.

reply

Happens all the time when it all a fan base has to offer. All three DCU movies are so bad that they land below Transformers. That's when both franchise point to box office and fan votes on the Net. As if delusional fanboys voting over ans over makes the difference.

reply

That's all this movie has going for it. So, prepare to see it here forever.

"Yeah it sucked but look at what it did without China!"

reply

Well I happen to love all 3 DC cinematic universe and I like it far more than what Marvel is shoving at me lately with their watered down rubbish.

reply

I feel the same way, but you don't have to say that the marvel movies are rubbish. I've enjoyed a couple of them (even tho 2-3/13 is not a good ratio) and the rest of them are still somewhat watchable. They are certainly bad but rubbish is not a nice way to put it. We are still lucky that we are getting so many CBMs, so show some respect.

The perception of quality can be different from person to person. Yes, I know there are 'professional' critics out there giving their opinions on the movie but it is very clear that many of the regular people disagree with that opinion. Since perceived quality is basically an opinion the argument has to go to something more concrete. Did people like the movie enough to see it in big numbers? Figures are more definitive than arguments and counter-arguments over perceived quality. It's ridiculous for people to have a problem with discussions of box office numbers on this board since it happens on practically every movie board.

Plan?...There ain't no plan!!

reply

But a movie this bad is making money! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! That's all we're suppose to care about!!!! Look at those dollar signs!!!

reply

It may not be all you should care about but it is certainly a major part of the equation.

Plan?...There ain't no plan!!

reply

Michael Bay approves of this message...

reply

He should...as well as any other reasonable person. 

Plan?...There ain't no plan!!

reply

Bay is ten times the better film maker than Snyder. Scary thought isn't it but true.
