Suicide Squad Recieves 26% Score on Rotten Tomatoes

Same score as Fantastic Four, the other flop from last summer. Ouch.

Such a shame.

reply

Fantastic Four from last year got 9%. Fantastic Four from 2004 got 26%. Check your facts.

Also, Suicide Squad has 25% now.

reply

Suicide Squad is back up to 26%. CHECK YOUR FACTS! 😱

reply

Well, it was 25% a half hour ago.

reply

Also, I just checked 2004's Fantastic Four, and that got 27%. I don't know where you're getting your information from.

reply

I take it back its back down to 25% lol

reply

lmao

reply

When will the reviews stop? Is it 26% for life now?

reply

Why is it still at 26%? That number never seems to move!

reply

Well it got 72% from audience reviews. That is all that matters. Critics are the minority.

reply

At least the critics have shown some common sense ;)
Audience scores for films like this are mute. Fanboys with multiple accounts

reply

Audiences have shown common sense by not hating on this flawed but entertaining film.

reply

Ahhh so sorry that you liked this film and I disagree with you. Hope I haven't hurt your feelings. I will be bumping this thread once Suicide Squad inevitably drops below 65% audience score.

reply

65% will still be majority.

The reviews from people that rated it fresh still make it seem like a *beep* film if you read them. The main fault seems to be there is no plot and how anyone can rate a movie fresh without a plot is beyond me. People were worried Marvel was trying to bury it but in reality DC fans are rating it high regardless of how *beep* it is

reply

Okay, you bringing up the "no plot" thing is just making me think you're carrying the critics voice without having one of your own. The movie has a very obvious plot if you've seen it. There's a difference. And that difference rides on what SS should be all about imo. It's about the characters and the stories they bring out of themselves in the process of them being all slammed together towards fighting this one common cause.

reply

No it's the view of a large portion of "fans" who gave the movie high marks on RT. How they justify that up to them seems a bit silly to be honest. Now let's be honest the film had a *beep* plot i mean really let's be real here. So the team was assembled off screen by batman who apparently has ties with Argus, they fight a possessed woman who honestly didn't seem like all that much of a threat and the make reference to a sequel. That in a nut shell is the whole movie. Sure there are 5 min back stories given to each member but it's hardy enough to make me care, sure the joker shows up for reason unknown (i mean really they should have not had him in there) and honestly did Batman and Flash need to be there either because they didn't do anything either. You easily could have said batman gather them up and not shown him instead of the little clips we got of him. Now i get it DC is doing it to again catch up to marvel and build this expanded universe but it comes off so flat. There was no reason to make your second title in your new universe about 8 main characters who will likely not have any future involvement unless you make a sequel. At this point i honestly do feel DC would be better canceling all their films and starting all over again before they go much further. Sure they make OK money but SS just like BVS saw a huge ticket drop off from Fri-Sat and i can't imagine it will rebound over the next weekend.

reply

Well ain't that a daisy?

reply

So 257 Critics at 26% > 88.000+ audience who have it at 72% lmao.

F4 has 19% from audience lmoa.

I guess you care more about the critics then the people?

reply

No it's called common sense. DC's fanbase is rabid. Marvel Studios Fanbase is rabid.

reply

Critics are people, too. Lol

reply

Both this and FF deserve all the scorn. Hoe on earth does even 26% of the critics give these two abominations a pass? Seriously, who in their right mund gives something this cut up and bad a thumbs up?

reply

Feel free to list bad movies that scored HIGHER than Suicide Squad. It might be a fun game to look some up.

reply

OMG, just for yucks I went to RT just now to look up one of my FAVORITE bad movies - Killer Klowns from Outer Space (1988) - and it got a 71% (6/10) critical score! Too hysterically funny!

reply

That movie is a b-comedy though. It's goal was to be stupid funny which god damn it is! I haven't seen it in such a long time, but drinking people wrapped in cotton candy through silly straws! Lol oh my god! In addition I can't believe those icecream guys got action with those female clowns lol jesus.

Killer Klowns wasn't actually a bad movie though it was just a goofy comedy.

I've baited my hook with my own underwear. Is it wrong that I hope to catch a fish I can relate to?-Ragdoll.

reply

It's reminiscent of Fant4stic in more ways than one.
