Worst Big Budget Movie Ever?

This made John Carter and The Lone Ranger look like Academy Award winners.

Suicide Squad was just embarrassingly bad.

reply

ID4: Resurgence has to be up there. Lone Ranger....upon repeated viewings thanks to cable, is not nearly as awful as I felt it was in the theater.

reply

Ghostbusters 2016.

reply

Heck, John Carter wasn't a bad movie at all.

Yes, this was as bad as The Lone Ranger and right down there with other big budget duds like Wild Wild West, BvS, Green Lantern, Gods of Egypt and Battlefield Earth.

reply

Ehr, Battlefield Earth wasn't a big budget movie, it was hardly a mid budget movie.

reply

I guess but Battlefield Earth still cost over $100 million if you include marketing. That's a lot of lost capital.

reply

$100M production budget is pretty steep at the time of its release.

Don't Jûdgê a Boôk by Its Movîe

reply

No no no. God's of Egypt was just terrible. Don't get me wrong, I did not like SS at all, but, GOE was in the "So bad it's good" category

reply

Rotten tomatoes gets it right more times than not. Can't fudge those numbers.

reply

No: Transformers, Ghost Busters, MoS, BvS..

This movie was very enjoyable, the movies you mentioned were quite trash.

The Adventures of Pluto Nash

reply

DING! This isn't Pluto Nash bad but it's far too close for comfort.

reply

Transformers 1-4, Ninja Turtles 1 & 2, Battleship?

There are a hundred big budget movies worse than Suicide Squad, with all its flaws.
