Is DC's plan to kill the comic book genre, and take down Marvel with it?

There has been a gnawing sense of superhero fatigue lately, and DC's latest efforts have really added gasoline to the fire. People are going to stop turning up to these comic book films more and more which are just over saturating the market with the same sh!t over and over. Maybe this is DC's intention, and just wants to take down Marvel even at their own misfortune? Well if you can't beat them at their own game, just burn everything down I guess.

They can kill THEIR movies.

They can't kill the whole genre, no.

I do think we're getting too many movies like this, and the biggest name characters are definitely getting over-used.

Marvel has been doing a better job with less well-known franchises, and that's why they'll keep doing better.

by making trailers that border false advertising, just look at everyone's damn reaction to the movie.

Just like the trailers for Iron Man 2 ? Where they advertised the real Mandarin and we've got a fake one in the movie ?

No version of the Mandarin is in Iron Man 2.

If Marvel didn't have Disney backing I'd say this would be a real possibility. It was possible to kill Marvel back in 2008 when they took out that loan and put their balls on the chopping block. Now, the WB killing their DC stuff on purpose? No, that's just the result of incompetence and not malice.

They will kill their own franchise before they can take down Marvel when talking about up coming movies I am starting to get people ask if the film is Marvel of DC because they wont watch it if its DC after watching MOS, BvS or SS. I can not even get someone to watch the Flash because its DC and these are people who are not comic book people they just have had bad experiences with the DCEU.

They may just be able to do both. With Disney crapping the bed everywhere else, maybe it is a plan after all? Disney Studios is going to take another mega loss with the next Pirates movie.
