I heard that Margot Robbie was so unnerved by Jared Leto's 'method' acting that she comforted herself with a lot of chocolate and pizza. She gained almost 50 pounds in a matter of a few weeks. It was too late to replace her so they just tried different camera angles to try to 'slim' her down a bit. Obviously, as shown by your astute eye, this had limited success.
