Dr Strange box office still below SS?
I thought Dr S was going to crush SS at the box office? I wonder what the marveltards excuses will be now...lolz

shareSuicide Squad got worse reviews than 2016's Ghostbusters??
Your move, DC-Tard!
And how much money did GB end up making after it was certified fresh and got stellar reviews by all the critics?
shareI didn't see GB... but even Transformers 4 made more money than SS! And that got worse reviews!
shareBut you fail to realize that Transformers is a franchise that people grew on after the success of the first one which made less money. If SS 2 releases, it will most likely make more money than the first one
shareWhich further proves that box office gross doesn't define the quality of a film.
shareExactly, if it did Transformers 4 would be considered a cultural masterpiece.
shareThere is no such thing as "quality". That's another thing that makes you DC and Marvel fanboys so idiotic. Quality is 100% subjective. It's pointless arguing over what defines a quality film.
Someone may think that Transformers 4 is the best film ever made and they aren't wrong. I would disagree with them myself (the best film for my is Akira Kurosawa's Ikiru). Someone else may think it's the Godfather. Neither one has a more credible opinion. Opinions are all equal. The fact that you guys spend so much time fighting over which brand is better is pathetic.
Also I think that you will soon realize this is my signature.
GB was completely forgettable and bland. Nowhere near the level of the original two.
Any reviewer who praises it is clearly not worth reading or listening to.
GB didn't get stellar reviews. It got okay reviews.
shareMan, you have to understand these butthurt DCEU fanboys. For the kind of $hitty movies they are getting and how bad they are rated; the GB reviews, from their perspective, must be stellar (maybe divine). Their best rated movie is crappy MOS, ha, ha, ha...
FROM:"Save me Batman, please, save me" WB and MOS TO:"Save me Product Placement, save me" WB and BvS
No it didn't.
shareReally, how stupid you can be. Comparing Marvel's Z tier character, almost unknown to general public, Doctor Strange to a movie with Batman, the Joker, Harley Quinn and a bunch of other better known villains from DC. Yes, how low the butthurt DC fanboys have sink, when they need boxoffice reassurance for their critically failed and general audience disliked movies. Pathetic... You are as awful as the movies you deffend.
But why is it ok to compare GotG to SS? If the general audience disliked SS so much then why did it make so much money? Don't you find that strange...
shareIf 100 people watch a film, and rate it 1/10, and 50 people watch another film and rate it 10/10, which one was the better film? The one that lots of people saw, and hated, or the one that less people saw and loved?
shareIf you go by ratings then the 10/10 film is better but if you go by money then the 1/10 is better. It all depends on your perception. Some people judge a movie by money and some judge it by ratings. Either way you can't win.
shareIf you go by ratings then the 10/10 film is better but if you go by money then the 1/10 is better.
I earn one cent per letter. Its a great living. lolz. Don't you think its ironic that a movie that makes a lot of money can still be considered a complete failure?
shareNeither ois a "better
" film. There is no such thing as "better."
Also I think that you will soon realize this is my signature.
That's odd. You would think that a 10 movies plus universe all about to reach the mile stone that is infinity wars would have brought out more interest in the movie.

i seriously doubt that "95%" would think SS would make more money. Maybe 55% MAYBE. and SS didn't "Just" make more money.
SS made over $100 Million more than Doctor Strange. Doctor Strange is one of the lowest grossing Marvel films. I don't really care about box office with my enjoyment of films, and haven't even seen Doctor Strange. It might be the best Superhero movie in years, but consider this--Superhero movies box office were almost ALL disappointing this year. SS was abotu what it was expected to be--actually maybe higher considering the reviews were bad. Deadpool was higher. Civil War did well, but didn't do as well Avengers: Age of Ultron, despite having more heroes in it. Look at Doctor Strange, Batman V. Superman and X-men Apocalypse ...all dissapointed. Now 2016 was a down year at the box office, btu I think it's telling...people are getting tired of superheroes in general. All you DC and Marvel fanboys keep arguing about which is better, but the movies in gernealare starting to lose steam. They not only aren't as bankable as they were a couple years back, they aren't as fresh. How many more ways can we have the same story recycled. Deadpool was fresh because it was a different take with the parody of it. Parodies start to become popular though when people start getting tired of the genre. Give suicide squad a little bit of credit even if you hated it...by being from the villains point of view it was at least a little different. It might have had script problems, but at least it wasn't the been there don that.
Also I think that you will soon realize this is my signature.
Oh...I see. you seriously doubt it do you?
Let's consult "realitY" shall we?
http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Predicting-Top-10-Highest-Grossing-Movies-2016-103227.html?story_page=3
Well look at that. They predicted it to be the 8th highest grossing film of 2016. And right now it's...the 8th highest grossing film. No Doctor Strange on that list.
What did Forbes predict?
http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhughes/2015/08/22/the-top-10-films-that-will-rule-the-box-office-in-2016/2/#18057887282f
I cannot imagine a cinematic situation where a superhero movie featuring Batman and the Joker fails to deliver major money into the studio coffers. I'd easily expect the movie to perform as well as Man of Steel or better, if it's at least pretty good. If it's great, then I don't think it'll have trouble bringing home $700+ million
Now, there are some films that might manage to bump one or two of the above titles aside and sneak past to become top-ten contenders as well. There are three in particular that are best positioned for such a run at a top spot...
The math adds up to Doctor Strange likely having much more appeal to mainstream audiences, and having a great shot at becoming another breakout hit for Disney in the possibly $700 million range
So given the completel lack of competition, unique nature of this film (this will be the first film where villains fight other villains to save the day) and the extremely diverse cast, I believe this movie will end up with a life time collection of 780 - 820 Million Dollars* at the box office.
So with taking all these into consideration I believe this movie might end with a life time collection of 670 - 700 Million Dollars at the box office, which is a pretty successful figure.
Suicide Squad will do even better than people expect
Suicide Squad could be like Gaurdians of the Galaxy in the sense that it feels fresh and innovative.
Suicide Squad and ID:Resurgence makes $700M-800M WW.
Suicide Squad will make 600 million WW maximum, mostly off of the hype of BvS... Doctor Strange, which will perform slightly worse than Ant-Man due to superhero fatigue and its unknown material.
Suicide Squad could be big if a great movie but realistically I see it around 600-700M WW which is still great. ..Doctor Strange will be an Ant-Man type success.
Way to miss the point of my post...
Comic book movies are losing popularity across the board, that was my point. People are getting sick of Superheroes.
Also I think that you will soon realize this is my signature.
Doctor Strange is one of the lowest grossing Marvel films.
Inflation is a THING you know...
By inflation Doctor Strange is the third lowest grossing non tier one film by Marvel. The other two are Thor: The Dark World and Ant-Man. Ant-Man is one of Marvel's least popular characters and Thor: The Dark World sucked.
Plus if you look at the fact X-Men Apocalypse is the lowest grossing X-men movie by inflation with the entire team, it's clear Superhero movies are losing steam. It was clear they were losing steam when Age of Ultron didn't out gross the original Avengers and the aforementioned Ant-Man didn't do that well..
Also I think that you will soon realize this is my signature.
If you made a poll a year ago, which would make more out of Suicide Squad and Doctor STrange, 95% of people would have said Suicide Squad.
If you made a poll a year ago, which would make more, Deadpool or BvS, 99.9999% of people would have said BvS. It lost.
Thanks for digging up that gem of a thread. This is the whole point I am making. Now that Dr S failed to beat SS the excuses are flying out of the woodwork. Its just amazing!
shareSo you made a post with your sock after you trawled through hundreds of threads to dig up my old thread, to try to save face and prove to no one who cares that you are not a complete loser, you complete and utter fĂĽcking loser.
What a fĂĽcking loser.
You do realize that this was a parody thread of your parody thread. I can't believe you didn't get it. Thats sad.
shareIt's been es+tablished that the China Box office doesn't count. Deadpool wasn't released in China. Therefore it beat BvS. You lose, sorry.
share[deleted]
The China box office doesn't count. Since Deadpool wasn't released in China. This has been firmly established by DC fans ever since Suicide Squad wasn't released in China. Sooooorrrrrryyyy.
sharethought Dr S was going to crush SS at the box office? I wonder what the marveltards excuses will be now...lolz
The run is pretty much over now. Too bad so sad.

Suicide Squad was a bad movie
Doctor Strange was a good movie
That's really all that matters

The question is though which universe has better quality?
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
Quality is subjective. Some people went and bought a brand new Pontiac Aztek, I don't know why.
shareTrue which kind of makes these D.C. vs marvel threads a tad pointless, however marvel has succeeded and that's a fact when it comes to terms of cinematic universe building and a general approval of audiences.
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
