This movie was so much worse than I expected

I decided to ignore its poor critical reception and give it a chance. There was zero character development and the little vignettes at the beginning didn't help matters. For the life of me, I can't understand what purpose Joker served. Seems like he was shoehorned into random scenes for fan service.

Yeah these "vignettes" was like a "need for speed" game from 2008.

The movie was bad. Zero character development as you said.
Joker was like a puppet.
Terribly written and directed.

Serves you right for ignoring that many critics. When only 26% of them give it a pass and half of those weren't even telling the truth then you NEED to pay attention.

Not that surprised, to be honest. After MOS, with DC and blind fanboys failing to understand why general audiences and some CB fans had contempt for that film, the future looked bleak back then. Today we are just witnessing the result of their stupidity...

The suffering involved in watching this movie was accidentally inflicted by inept film makers but it still hurts as if it was intentional.

Me too, I tried keeping an open mind but this thing is Phantom Menace bad: completely worthless.

Fifty Shades Darker
The Great Wall
Power Rangers
Wonder Woman
The Emoji Movie
Transformers: The Last Knight

That's the kind of stank OJ Simpson has on him and it'll never go away even if he gets out of jail. Same for DC movies.
