The two DCEU movies grossed 1.62 billion. The two MCU movies grossed 1.65 billion so far with one movie still in theaters.

I don't know why anyone gives a flying *beep*. All four movies made a profit. That's all either company cares about. Honestly Dr. Strange didn't even do all that well in the states, which is showing that Superhero fatigue is starting to set in. The Fact X-Men Apocalypse didn't do all that well either confirms this. A couple years from now there will be some other obsession, it might be UFOs or flying lizards or talking turds or something.
I don't think Wonder Woman or Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be the big hits either company wants them to be. Justice League isn't going to cross a billion and Thor isn't popular as a stand alone character.
I liked both Suicide Squad and Civil War. neither movie was anything close to great. Neither movie was even pretty good by recent superhero standards they were both GOOD, but not excellent. Both films could have either given their minor characters better motivations or cut them. Tell me what was the reason why Ant-Man was on the side he was on in Civil War? (I don't even remember if he was Team Cap or Team Iron Man). Tell me anything about Killer Croc other than he was ugly, and don't use the comic book character, just use the movie.
Marvel movies are getting worse and DC movies aren't that good. I preferred Suicide Squad over Civil War though. At least it did something original instead of just a superheros fighting each other then team together--basically the same thing that happened in the first Avengers movie.

But SOME day, some day...it happened for me around 11 or 12....superheroes and comic books will no longer be that important to you guys. And you'll see the ridiculousness of worrying whether Dr Strange gets better reviews than Batman...or Suicide Squad's box office is triple it's budget..or whether Marvel or DC is more popular.....or whether Spider Man can beat up Iron Man...lol. Real life stuff will start to be more important. You know like girls, and getting that first job, getting your drivers license, going out on a date etc. - and all that trivial meaningless little kid cartoon stuff will be a thing of the past. You'll see..lol.

It's a pretty common thing actually. People define themselves over their associations with groups. That is simply tribalism. Since we no longer have tribes, interest groups have taken that place.
-Football fans start barfights over which team is better.
-Classical music fans think of rock fans as unwashed barabrians and rock fans consider classical music fans to be stuck up snobs.
-Comic book fans argue Marvel vs. DC
It is a history as old as time and will probably never end. Let's look at the bright side. At least they are not killing each other and taking heads as souvenirs. I guess that is progress.
In case anybody wonders, I personally like:
- Burton's Batman
- Batman Begins
- X-Men I & II
- Days of future past
- Iron Man I
- Deadpool
- Guardians of the galaxy
- the first Tobey maguire Spiderman
And think all other comic book movies as varying degrees of garbage. In other words, I stand between both sides and get roughly equal amounts of hate from everybody.
