title changing sequels

so, i am reading smiths book "tough sh*t"...

i am reading through about the whole story about cop out, and generally it reads like a break up story between he and the Weinstein's...

Anyway, I've just hit the part where he is talking about how cresfallen he was at the title change, because it dashed his hopes of tongue in cheek sequel titles, predicated on the title being "a couple of dicks"...
sequels like: "come again" and "things just got harder"...
thats hillarious right there... i would think "A couple of Dicks 2, Come Again" would be an amazingly juvenile movie title, that I would definitely go see with my friends, because we find that stuff hillarious... there is nothing wrong with juvenile...

Anyway, so I thought about it...
You know the movie was supposed to be called a couple of dicks... everybody in hollywood knows it. everyone who has heard of this tubby motherfu*ker out of jersey knows this... It's one of those things you just know... like if you say candyman too many times that dude is totally gonna show up and kill you...
so you know what would make me laugh a million times harder then a title of "A couple of Dicks 2, Come Again"? yeah, "Cop Out 2, Come Again", and "Cop Out 3: Things Just Got Harder". We know the original title, and to roll with it, knowing that the movie's audience knows "cop Out" = "A Couple of Dicks"... why not just roll with it, and play like it is.

I know, the chance of there ever being a cop out 2 is right up there with... well, i got nothing, it just isn't gonna happen for obvious reasons...
I'm just saying... if everyone knows your title anyway, why not roll with it.


Anyway, just my 2 cents... if ever i get to a panel where smith was talking, this would be my question...
