shareYep. This was a worn out formula.
share...which of course is the point. It's like the 'scream' of buddy cop movies: an entry in the genre while at the same time poking fun at it.
"Did you mean for all those words to come out like that or did they just fall out randomly?"-H.H.
Parody = badly made movie? I think not.
shareI'm not really sure what your post means, care to elaborate? Are you saying some think this is a parody and you don't agree and just think it's a bad a movie? Or are you defending it saying not all parodies are bad movies just because they're parodies?
Also, where did you get the word parody? I certainly didn't use it in conjunction with this movie, seems like it came out of nowhere.

Uh, did you even read my post before you responded? I talked about how it pokes fun at genre conventions of buddy cop movies. You say it doesn't, because the only funny thing you laughed at was the monologue about taking a dump. Which of course has NOTHING to do with whether or not it was poking fun at genre conventions. What a non-sequitur to just throw out there.
As witty as you thought you were being with your first sentence, the rest of your post comes off like someone bringing up a new outside point when he's unable follow the current topic being discussed but still wants to pretend like he has input. You didn't think it was how I described it, that's great no problem there obviously, but tell us WHY instead of going off on a separate tangent about how much you loved the poop jokes...
