Blame Samantha’s absence on Big…

So the whole Samantha in London exile has been an implausible storyline for this revival series. Fans of SATC never bought that she would dump Carrie over some business arrangement gone sour. Samantha is not that petty.

If there is a season 2, they should put the blame on Big. Why not, the actor/character is already thick into persona non grata territory. So use it! Have it revealed that Big told Samantha to stay away from Carrie. Big and Samantha were never warm to each other, so it is feasible that Carrie’s friendship with her may have become an issue with Big at some point. Voila! A solid (albeit clunky) reason for Samantha to split from Carrie that the fans will accept. That even explains why Samantha did not come to Big’s funeral. If the guy hated her then it would disrespectful for her to be there.
