Oddly enough, when Steven Spielberg was filming "Jaws", his nickname for the shark was "Bruce", named after his Spielberg's lawyer.
Of course, that doesn't explain how the girl knows that, but...

I assumed that one of the two videos she watched was a Bruce Lee film. The other was one of the Rocky series.

I actually laughed when she was yelling "Bruce!" (the only time i laughed, too-- I don't know about people who thought this was "hilarious"). But it was kind of sad too. What's the younger daughter going to do without her older sister? Maybe the older sister eventually comes back for her. I'd love to see a sequel to this story down the road, though if it's by the same writer/director, it probably wouldn't be very comforting...
