The brother had sex with her, then she says something about her daughter and his clan not making it in the neighborhood? I am confused by this.

She says a quote from a movie which says that if you do it again i will you kill you ,i promise you in the life of my daughter that that you and your gang will leave from the neighborhood .Well obviously she means that if he do this again she will kill him .The rest is from the movie but i do not know which movie it is...

"do that again and i'll rip your guts out" was the quote. It was interesting because you first think she is talking to the boy, but she goes on and you realize she is repeating film dialogue.

Anyone know what film?

She saw two casettes that Christine gave her. One was obviously Rocky (she did the boxing scene after) and the other one was Flash Dance (since she did that dance after the younger sister got tired so I expect it to be either of those movies.

Yeah, I was also wondering how many movies could possibly have been on those two [what looked like, mind you] library tapes, considering how many different movie references she made after watching them.

They could have been bootlegs and on lower quality setting a vhs tape can hold 8 hours of video so those two tapes could have held like 10 movies

She's quoting from one of the movies she received from the security guard, a Bruce Lee film. Hadn't you noticed her seemingly nonsensical speech and actions became limited to things she'd gleaned from movies? The whole Flashdance thing, etc.?

I missed the Bruce Lee film! That would explain why she wanted to be called Bruce all of a sudden.

What I'm more curious about is that she's reenacted four films (Jaws, Rocky, Flashdance, and a Bruce Lee film), but Christina only gives her two movies (One of which is noticeably Rocky). Where did she see the other two? Or did Christina make a second trade and I just missed it?

It's possible the trading went on for a while, yes. It's also possible that there were more than just one film recorded on each VHS tape. it didn't look like original tapes, it looked like recordable ones.

Or even that there were previews for other movies included on the VHS casettes.

yep, previews for sure. Even a couple of minutes preview would be mind-boggling and influential if you had never seen anything like it before

Bruce is the name of the shark in Jaws.

Bruce was what the film crew called the mechanical shark. It was not called Bruce in the movie.
