After watching this movie , I came to the conclusion that the director in the final scene wanted to show that the daughter was dead in the trunk . There was no banging or movement . Anyone else agree ? In the end the father's actions keeping the kids secluded actually ended up killing one of them
shareI think you can make your own decision about what happens to her, I.e. Optimist or pessimist. There's no banging because she is escaping and it's harder to get out of a boot than films would have you believe, me and my granda tested it out when I was younger, lol.

shareI think she was dead. It would have been very hot in the boot (that's what we call trunk where I'm from :)) and she was there overnight. Added to which she had sustained a major trauma, self-inflicted, that may have sent her body into shock.
