Ellen Page was bad casting
Her shortness and abrasive personality bug me.
She's got the whole bossy thing down to an artform.
I think a more attractive woman was needed for such a stylish movie.

What a dumb, shallow comment. A hotter woman would have been better? How old are you? Go watch a CW series.
shareThe problem with her character is that she didn't seem to have any real role in the plot, except to give the hero someone to talk to. Or talk at, she was really just there to help the exposition along.
Perhaps if she'd had a bit of romantic chemistry with DiCaprio it might have been a slightly different film, one where the anti-hero had to choose between his dead love and a real living woman. But as they didn't seem to have any connection other than work (and exposition dump), there was nothing along those lines. I don't think the movie was particularly well cast, I never liked DiCaprio, and neither he nor Page are big on providing romantic chemistry.
I liked DiCaprio in this role. I thought that Joseph Gordon-Levitt looked a little too nerdy and couldn't really sell the action scenes.
I had problems with Ken Watanabe's English. I'm pretty good at understanding foreigners speaking so for me to struggle means he's really bad.
Marion Cotillard was amazing.
Cillian Murphy was just a pass.
Tom Hardy seemed to underplay his role a little too much.
that is tru nobody likes a british accent on a dude. it sounds sexy on a girl but if i guy talks like that he sounds like a nerd...
shareLOL. Hollywood normally likes posh british accents on villains.
I liked Jude Laws accent until he decided to try an aussie accent in Contagion. It was terrible. He even threw in 'crickey!' which is not something Australians actually say unless they're over 70.
Yes, a hotter would have been better.
sharetrue true a more attractive woman would have made this movie much more badass$$$$$$
shareYes, there could have been a better likable actress.
shareMaybe the character could've been made abit older and cast ScarJo (who was in The Prestige)
shareI agree with you, she was very annoying and reckless. But I think this was how the character was written and was not really the actress. In fact, having a nerdy type in this role made more sense than the typical 6 foot model. As far as why she would go along with all this... that wasn't convincing to me. (They insinuated that she was well paid, and had intellectual curiosity, but that wasn't enough to casually break the law in my view)
