The Last Scene

I didn't like the movie ending on a jump scare.

Honestly I would've ended the movie with the reflection in the mirror being Kristen, implying that she's become the dominant personality permanently. It's just as cliche, but it's not as cheap.

That wouldn't be very ominous since Kristen is the heroine, a vengeful Kristen is more than a cheap jump scare

different strokes for different folks i guess

I agree. And It was hard to 'care' for this new actress at the end after having followed Kristen through the whole movie. The movie wasn't bad but the ending should have had a rethink.

Just watched this film, I would have liked and responded better to your ending than the ending we got.

You can call me 'Mayor Chapstick.'

Actually, as cheap jump endings go, this one was particularly good. You KNEW there was going to be one, and the old mirror reflection is one of the most trademarked. The genius was you expect her to appear BEHIND her after she opens and closes the mirror, but having her pop out was much more unexpected and brilliant.

If you gotta have a jump scare, at least make it a good one - this movie had quite a few very well done ones.
