A worthwhile watch but I would recommend familiarizing yourself with the real life story for context. 8/10.

Yes,but doing that kills the suspense. Obviously the viewer may know what the film is about but I watched it without knowing so much and I’m glad I did so

Cool. I watched the 60 minutes Australia doc first and really didn’t have any effect on my viewing experience and I found the film to be very accurate in it’s re-creation and portrayal of the story. The film also fleshed out the backstory quite well.

Are you guys watching this on streaming somewhere? I can't find it and it appears to be available only in Australian cinemas.

I agree with this. I watched it last night without knowing it was a true story until the end. At the end, it became a much more powerful film, but up until then, I was wondering why in the hell I was watching it and why in the hell it was even made. I assumed it was just some screenwriter's depressing piece of fiction.
