I love the way Cad Bane delivers this line through a shit eating grin. It's so hilariously rote. Like a nerd, deluded at their own sense of authority, trying to make a point on a message board. It's such a subtle dig at a section of the fans.

The lunatics love to label everything that doesn't go the way they wanted or predicted a "slap in the face". Well this time Lucasfilm delivers a genuine slap in the face to some of the fans by telling them exactly what they want to hear in such a condescending and patronising way. Ha ha!

No doubt there are some pathetic examples of people who repeat that line as if it vindicates them when it's clearly mocking them.

If you are right, and Disney Star Wars is deliberately mocking their own fans, then they remain the very stupid company that botched the sequel trilogy and Star Wars spin off movies so badly that their "a new Star Wars movie every year" plan died a very quick death.

No they are just slapping the fans that are asking for a slap. And since some of the fans label everything a slap in the face it should make no difference. Should it?

Nobody wanted a Star Wars film every year in the first place. And the explosion of streaming has made that idea redundant now anyway.

If the fans are going to be insulted by being told exactly what they want to hear then maybe it's the fans who are fucking demented about the importance of their own opinions and predictions. They'd be better off ignoring Star Wars completely. But they will continue to watch it and let it thrive because that's the only way they can justify their miserable existence as imaginary gatekeepers.

No, they are a very stupid company making very stupid decisions. It's always one step forward and two steps back with these clowns. Book of Boba Fett was yet another failure for them, whether they're stupid enough to be deliberately mocking their own fans or not.

It's a good point as Disney clearly waited until they could get some fan feedback from the first few episodes before even working on one of the scripts for a later episode in the same series.

They even spaced out the filming schedule simply so they could do this - regardless of the cost - as they believed getting a two fingers up to whatever the fans thought overrode any financial considerations...

Terrific stuff.

Bane is trying to convince a good man of why he shouldn't work with Fett. Vanth is the sheriff of a small town that sticks to itself. Stays out of criminal activity in Mos Espa and Eisley. He's appealing to Vanth's sense of morality. This isn't a shot at the fans, LOL!

The way he's saying it is a shot at the kind of dumb shit that fans like to say on forums. Cad is laughing to himself as he says it. It's word for word what some hopeless nerds say when they see Boba Fett doing things they don't want him to do. There are threads in this forum where someone repeats it over and over, unironically.
