Is Boba aware that the Empire has been defeated?

I'm curious if Boba is aware the Empire was defeated while he was stuck in the Sarlacc. They've seemingly made no mention to him or pointed to him that the Empire was gone, other than the Stormtrooper helmets on pikes in the streets, but from Boba's perspective that could simply mean the local community tossed out the Imperial garrison there.

Would have made a for a great scene when Boba finds out that Palpatine and Vader were both dead, thanks to the same Luke Skywalker that assaulted the Sail Barge, and that the Empire was replaced/about to be replaced by the New Republic.

Oh well, there's still a few episodes left, guess we'll find out soon enough. Maybe they'll hint at a Boba revenge against Han yet too.
