To see the Beatles Get Back thing I subscribed for a month to Disney

After I finished it I looked for other stuff to watch, and of course Star Wars came to mind. I clicked over and looked at the section and watch a few of the movies. I saw them when they came out.

Every one I looked at was infuriatingly stupid and at a second grade level.

At the time I remember my 7 year old nephew going crazy for Star Wars and collecting all the figures and books and garbage. By the way he was smart to hold on to it because he made a ton of money selling them online when he grew up.

The best I can saw about any of them is "eye candy". But I guess that is how they get into your mind and rot it.

I didn't watch the original trilogy because I was a "hard sci-fi" geek who watched Star Trek. Once I realized there was little real science in Star Trek it was easier to enjoy Star Wars.

Why did you post here? Did you watch the pilot?

reply

The Star Treks are just as bad for the most part, but the original series was far back enough to have consistent morality and optimism.

reply

Nobody ever said you had to like "Star Wars".

The rest of us just say WE like it.

reply

Accurate.

reply

Well, at least you got to see "Get Back" featuring only the greatest band the world has ever seen.

reply

That was interesting.

Try to catch The Compleat Beatles (1982). A great little documentary and the standard until the 1995 marathon Beatles Anthology. Sometimes you can find someone somewhere streaming it as it was bought and discontinued when The Beatles Anthology came out.

OK. Best in 2022.

I used to love that doc. I still have my old VHS I had considered throwing out but it's not on Youtube and probably hard to come by.

My brother destroyed my VHS copy out 15yrs ago. I found a bootleg DVD copy at a flea market but didn't buy it. I kick myself often for that. They also had a copy of Let It Be.

Liez. This is all fabrication. You know why? You didn't mention that your nephew jerked off onto the Leia figurines. You can't be a true collector without jerking off onto your figurines before repackaging them and selling it for profit 20 years down the road as 'mint' collectors item.
