Mysterious briefcase from Ronin

It sounds like they took the briefcase story line from the movie Ronin. In that movie everybody was trying to get a briefcase. And like in that movie no one including the audience finds out what is even in the briefcase.

And the briefcase in Pulp Fiction ( maybe this is Bruce Willis's spin off from that)
