Not deserving of the accolades

Pretty average, in my opinion. Females' acting over-wrought and melodramatic. What's supposed to happen to the murder victims' bodies? No police enquiry etc? Pretty amateur production, let down by improbable plot. Choral-like musical score really grates.

You can't hold a candle to Gulbenkian.

If you'd read the book it goes in to detail about the lack of police interference, in so much as the Jacksons were a law unto themselves. The police would often stay out of it unless it was really serious, but family beefs were left alone. The idea was that Freddy got so powerful he could basically do anything he wanted. I seriously recommend reading the book, brilliant stuff.
