I think they made Freddie a little TOO psycho.I would have made him just a regular guy who just happened to end up working for a criminal in order to survive.

I mean,the guy was just TOO violent!!!I mean,shooting that guy at the ecstasy deal,raping Jimmy's wife,all these things were TOTALLY unnecessary!!!

If those things weren't included in the story,then at least this show would be watchable!!!

I should have known those alien maggots booby trapped this sub.

While I liked the series I do agree that his character was a little to over the top.

Freddie's violence didn't even come close to the viciousness in the manner the Kray twins murdered Jack "the hat" McVitie. And the way Freddie killed Sidddy in the pub was very similar to the way Reg Kray disposed of George Cornell in 1966. It's true that Freddie is reckless and stupid, but he's not a particularly vicious killer. Now his son's another story. His modus operandi trumped his Dad's in my opinion.
