Err, no one spoiled anything. I gave away no plot points, and neither did the original poster, unless Freddie NOT being killed by the aforementioned black guy is a spoiler. By itself, this means next to nothing.

Freddie would never have gotten a chance to pull the trigger as he would have been shot dead the minute he drew his weapon.
As for the rest of the show,without Freddie it would be a MAJOR improvement.
The rest of the show would revolve around the war between Ozzie's people and the Turkish drug dealers.
It WOULD be pretty easy for them to get somebody inside the prison and kill Ozzie!!!
After Ozzie's dead,all that's left is for them to kill off all his men.
So Jimmy would have been killed as well as anybody else who was working for Ozzie.
So the only people left alive at the end of this show would be Maggie,Jackie and Little Freddie!!!
Now THAT would be a great show!!!

You can't have the show without Freddie, that's the whole point. The book goes deeper into it. Freddie is a mindless, impulsive thug who is deluded enough to think that he has what it takes to be a top man, when really his cousin carries. him.

I think the show would have been better if Freddie had been killed by the Turkish drug dealers.Maybe not RIGHT AWAY,but somewhere down the line.The story would make a lot more sense that way.
