If someone remade this WITHOUT the rape scenes,what would you like to see in place of it?
I was thinking that one night Freddie and Maggie got drunk or felt a mutual attraction and then had sex.
Of course in the remake Freddie would be very handsome,and not at all psycho.

Rape isn't about sex, as drunk doin' it would be, it's about power. Freddie lost some of his power when Jimmy was given the drug trade, so to regain it, specifically over Jimmy, he raped Jimmy's wife. Another option to regain his power would've been to kill Jimmy. However, the rape was actually a more methodical form of power play than he'd previously shown, as it leaves the victim of his play alive and maliable to future gain. And that was the point of that scene. So something like drunk sex wouldn't remotely convey the same meaning.

Plus Jimmy never knew about it.So Freddie never was able to rub it in his face.Of course if he HAD told him,Jimmy would have probably killed him!!!

You are thinking way too literal. He had the power over jimmy, because no matter how high he rose to the top, freddie always knew that he had something over him, that jimmy's own son was in fact freddie's. That's all the power he needed, it had nothing to do with rubbing his face in anything.
And without the rape scene and freddie's maniacal streak there would be no take, so what you suggest is completely inconceivable even as fan generated fantasy.

I would have liked it if Freddie owed money to the drug dealer that he was buying Coke from and couldn't pay.Then the Coke dealer would have Freddie killed.
If the rape scene is REALLY necessary,then Freddie would be killed after that.
Besides,the episode that takes place after that episode is years ahead.Freddie would probably have been dead by then any way.
So it was stupid to still have in the story after the rape scene.

What is it with you Limbo - You have posted about 6 messages on the take board going on about rewriting the script and changing the scenes, all to remove some rapes. Why are you dwelling on these issues. Freddie is a maniac it would be rubbish if he broke into maggies house and then played chess with her and asked politely if he could impregnate her?

Id much rather watch a demon rape someone than play cards with them!
I just didn't like the whole rape storyline,I hate rape in general.
Plus I get obsessive about things sometimes,especially things that piss me off.
I mean,they changed so many things in the story,so why not that?
They could have had Maggie make a deal with the Turkish drug dealers to kill Freddie and make a story out of that.
