Only one good thing about The Take

The only thing holding this P1SS-POOR mini-series together was Tom Hardy's performance.

Pretty much all the main characters sucked besides Hardy and Cox. The female characters and actresses were very badly written and poorly performed. The music was very over-done and over-used. The use of slow motion throughout was terrible, and the ADR that was added in (often over slow motion sequences) was laughably bad. Many plot holes, like how any logical person would have told her husband about the rape.

All that said I watched the whole thing because Tom Hardy is one of the best actors working today.

Totally agree with you. It's all pretty standard enjoyable trash, but damn Tom Hardy is a TERRIFIC actor. He's just mesmerizing in this.

I agree that Tom Hardy is a great actor.BUT,the way his character acted in this was a little over the top.Brian Cox was just plain irritating in this,but that's what you get when you hire a Scottish actor to play an English person.

The only good thing about The Take is that it's only four episodes.I didn't even watch all the episodes because the show was becoming unbearable.

And Freddie threatening to tell Jimmy that he raped his wife was BEYOND stupid!!!

Realistically,I'm not sure I can accept the fact that Freddie was still alive like 5 years after he had raped Maggie.The Turkish drug dealers would have taken him out long ago.

The whole thing was pretty much a failure in my opinion.Bad acting,bad story,the list goes on.

I should have known those alien maggots booby trapped this sub.
