Freddie as Satan?

I don't mean it quite literally. Obviously, this isn't a supernatural story. But I wonder if they were alluding to Freddie's evil actions with some of the shots.

Obviously Freddie was constantly smoking. But I feel like there were a number of shots where we didn't even see him take a drag (though I assume he was smoking), but smoke comes trailing out of his mouth when the shot goes to him.

The one I feel like I remember the most was when they were at the gathering when Freddie and Jimmy find out that Ozzy was attacked in jail. I'm almost sure I didn't even observe him smoking, but I definitely saw the shot where the smoke comes out of his mouth when he "finds out" about it. Of course, we all know he was behind it to begin with, and he takes the news, with the smoke leaking from his mouth. That, along with the semi-constant look of anger and pain on his face really gave off some devilish allusion to me.
