I figured it out.The gunshot we heard in the first episode was NOT Freddie's gun,it was the black guy's gun.Everything that happened afterwards was Freddie's dream of what he would have accomplished if he had lived.
Freddie was killed at the drug deal.Thank God I finally figured it out because this was driving me crazy!!!

shareDon't sweat it dude,we all can't be as creative and imaginative as me.If the writers of this show WERE,I wouldn't be posting complaints about this show.They would have addressed all the problems and made changes to the script.
The Turkish drug dealers would have gone after Freddie and killed him.Maggie would never have been raped.Jimmy and Maggie would have had children of their own and lived happy lives.Jimmy would have been promoted sooner and he and his wife would have gotten a nicer place in a better neighbourhood.
These are things that WOULD have happened if the writers of this show were as great as I am.
