That's why I love british productions
Because they are not effin stuck up about showing the ugly side of people. I just finished the series and I'm still in awe. Honestly, I felt so depressed about almost every single character, including Freddie. That scene where he broke down drunk on the floor sobbing and confessing to Jackie totally made it for me. Personally, I think it was the emotional climax of the series.
And again, I must say Tom Hardy is one masterpiece of an actor. I've seen almost all of his movies and he is A MASTER of the anti-hero/villain type. He makes you hate his character, then he makes you love him and you end up feeling bad that you sympathize with a monster. Makes you explore your feelings to an extent which is both scary and great.
Sigh. I needed to share my excitement with someone.
