What is the show about? I liked their uncomfortable behavior. Of Emma and that guy. But then what? They just go on living their bored life and nothing is happening.
Eventually I was fast forwarding. And still nothing happens. So I turned off. Specially when I understood there are 10 episodes of this.
Did it get better in later episodes? What the hell is this show about?
I seen all Emma Stone work but that one I left after the first episode. As you mention the storyline is kind of boring but for me there is other main reason.:
I noticed that many families in American series and movies are depicted now days as ultra-liberal in a deviant and boundless manner. The family members talk to each other with excessive openness, sharing rude jokes as if they were in a gathering of close friends drinking beer together, rather than in a parent-child relationship. I wonder if these portrayals reflect the immediate environment of the director or screenwriter. I doubtful that the series represents the average liberal family in the United States.
