The British version of 'A Simple Plan'?

1998 film with Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton and Bridget Fonda.

That movie was excellent. I feel this film will just be a cheap knock-off with lackluster performances.

I was thinking of that. Virtually the same plot line. But with worse actors.

Limit of the Willing Suspension of Disbelief: directly proportional to its awesomeness.

So I guess that it's based on a novel that ripped off A Simple Plan, Shallow Grave, etc. etc.

this wasn't awful, but A Simple Plan and Shallow Grave were both way better

It's an American production, not British.

Possibly, but finding stolen money, wanting to keep it, cops and bad guys both looking for it, is not a super original plot line either.
