Affleck says 'Fiction'; I call BS!

Anyone who says that film wasn't real is delusional. Phoenix has all the trappings of somebody who's doing meth and is about to go Charlie Sheen. He looks, acts, and basically seems nearly homeless. However nearly homeless or not, this journey is definitely a downward spiral. It is sad to watch and even sadder still the fact that Casey Affleck said it was not a documentary. Hahaha, yeah right. Phoenix is losing it big time. To suggest otherwise is patently false.

Meth is good for you, look at all the people not on meth, you can barely tell if they are alive or dead. The only danger is when you become weak and try to quit, that is when everyone gets sick and dies, it's like an eagle trying to go back to being a lizard: splat

One shot nails it as fiction for me. At the end he dives into the pool, and we follow him in good quality underwater filming. That can't be done on the fly, it takes some setting up. In fact that whole sequence in the water is very cinematic and staged, but underwater...? No, no way. Its set up, and well.
