wow - incredible movie, really fail-safe

This movie - great start, amazing space ship - somebody waking up alone in the middle of 5000 unconscious people. Wow, just great to watch.

[caution safers:]

and then --- it was slightly irritating. There is this Mr - a year alone is too much - who can’t even reset a coffee machine, but when it comes to this huge fire flaming defect - it does not even take a minute to solve it. Ok men like to play with tools, they know these things. But wait - there is this door - which can, of course, only be opened from outside.

But yeah, probably she would’t take him back if he were not in shining armor with shield, understood.

So he sacrifices himself for her. Story gets interesting again. He is literally in a ray of fire outside in space. Oh wait - I must have missed something. He is still alive? Now he floats in space. Alive. Now he runs out of oxygen. Alive. He still does not die? Can’t he just die? please… die… Finally there is this autodoc saying he is dead. At last. Yeah, let’s yell at the machine and just select all of these „resuscitation“ features.
Have I seen wrong - he starts moving his lips. Oh no, why…

Maybe you finally see at least some emotions, some touching scenes happy together. Instead, after a kiss scene which is so romantic that it easily would pass the Hays code, you see her alone repainting Arthurs face (otherwise the audience could worry that he harmed, understood); and him alone putting medals on the dead crew member. How romantic!
She of course, has a second shirt under the one she has to take off to pull the lever to save everybody. The only time you see her naked is when she has a heavy space suit on. Wow. They seemingly have forgotton to cut the scene before that, where you clearly can see her naked shoulder - I mean, children could be watching.

but yeah - there is no priest awake and marriage first, understood.

Mr - a year alone is too much - committed this no-go waking her up crime, making fail what’s absolutely, 100%, fail-safe. But this is of course not bearable for the audience. So, he just needs to be excused. Of course - without his crime everybody would have died as it needs two people to save the ship - of course. Morals re-established. Really? Some might still say - she will die on the ship because of him. So there must be this one - and only one - autodoc device. So now its her decision. Well they forgot to clearly sate, it was her fault all the way - if women are too attractive, you can’t blame the men to resist, understood.

All this could eventually still make a good movie, or even be erotic - maybe its the actors then. Pretending to be serious or trying to be funny are the death sentence for any movie.

Or is it this super-inteligent screenplay… He seemingly did not understand the „hibernation pod’s emergency operating manual“ - as right, they are fail safe, but he brilliantly followed the guidelines of the manual *dating a writer (if she is female)* - So how is your book coming lately? Ah, yes, it’s a date, so you have to be stuck up dumb, understood.

So good, they mentioned why they did not wake up somebody of the crew who knows the ship and how to repair it - I mean, otherwise you might have wondered, a movie needs to explain itself:

—Shouldn’t we wake up somebody of the crew to fix this? - We have no time for that!—

of course, now they do not have time for that.
suddenly, suddenly they have no time. Until now time was the one thing that was no issue. Now they coincidently learnt about a problem that is there for already two years and by miracle they know they have no time to wake somebody up. No, lets blindly run around the ship instead until we found the error which we for sure will fix somehow.

So hero got his girl, happy end in the end. Is it actually a happy end? Think about this: He couldn’t build a house and a stove for her to cook on. Clichés? No way.
Let’s go on a journey to colonize planet Homestead II - not planet „Homestead“ II but - planet seriously Homestead II - that already says a lot.

- oh wait did they even die? Not even this is clearly mentioned. I mean you can’t say that at the end which is supposed to be happy + there is anyways this medical device with this endless resuscitation feature. Plastic surgery is for sure not an issue too…

Wow,

with this beginning, they could have done so much. A modern version of sleeping beauty - or this scene he alone in the middle of 5000 other living people and each of them has a story, they unconscious, he doomed to be conscious - you could make so much out of it.
But every time the story even slightly started to get interesting, there is this sign popping up - in your face - let’s keep the moral standards otherwise there might be someone, who leaves the cinema unsatisfied. Let’s not upset anybody, it’s a movie it has to be pleasant, wash your brains a little bit so you keep following the rules society expects you, and you also pay money for watching it,

understood.

liked the tree though
