The Autodoc was a nice sly way to create a possible sequel

I doubt it will get a sequel, but with the Autodoc machine, they left a very real possibility one of them survived. They could say that one of them died three years after the other and since they were alone, decided to hibernate in the Autodoc.

After the scene where the crew wakes up, it's possible you could see them find Chris Pratt or Jennifer Lawrence, who then have to figure out how to fix the ship again before it lands, or figure out how to survive on the new planet.

Also, there is the chance they could have found another Autodoc or like someone said, make a new one from parts.

Or the sequel could have been somebody reading her journal of those years--visualized for us. But that hardly seems likely with the poor reception the film received. It's too bad. I just saw it, and was pleasantly surprised. Very satisfying emotionally. (I never pay attention to "plot holes" especially in science fiction--the entire genre is a plot hole!) I'm not much of a J Lawrence fan but she was fine. I thought Pratt was better than I've ever seen him. Great visual style to the entire movie. Yes, it was kind of Sleeping Beauty/rom-com in space, but...so what? I certainly didn't feel I'd wasted my time.

She was really bad near the end. She cannot act. Pratt should have gotten the $20 million.

Like I said, no fan of hers, but she didn't destroy it. I admit, I just don't get her appeal, but obviously others do!

I know where all the hype about her started; it was when Winter's Bone was nominated, and that was a film in which she basically played herself. I was always suspicious that there was some PR machine behind her, and by the time she got nominated for every movie that she did for three years, I knew something was up, because she was totally awful in many of them, especially American Hustle.

You could replace her with anyone working at a gas station or Waffle House in the South. Seriously.

I'm almost tempted to say I prefer Kristen Stewart as an actress. I'm not there yet, however.
