man - that black list is gonna bring down hollywood - this looks so precious and so frickin' indie its ridiculous - the "list' gave us will smith's first box office failure - a slew of other flicks with big stars that have tanked and one bonafide hit in juno - but let's face facts - juno was a fluke - everything lined up and just like blair witch before it everyone rushed out to the emperor's new clothes

hollywood does best when it makes solid old fashion entertainment - this year gran torino, slumdog millionaire and taken were all spectacular successes because they told good solid stories that people enjoyed and related to - whereas all the little indie flicks and oscar bait films crashed and burned

I coulda been a contender. I coulda been somebody, instead of a bum, which is what I am.

Maybe it's hard to make "solid old fashion entertainment" and be original at the same time.

" everyone rushed out to the emperor's new clothes..This seems to be a recurring statement that people who have caught indie films .That are just plain garbage seem to use .Myself included (not all the time) i thought indie flicks were some how better than hollywood films .Thats why i made the switch what i realized is that theres not a whole lot of difference between the two.I'm reminded of when i went to buy tires for my car .I'd be at the register with the mechanic who would tell me the different types of tires for my car.I asked him what the difference was and he said "besides the name,nothing".Same thing ive realized when it comes to the indie film and the mainstream film markets .
