The movie's two MAIN characters are played by Jennifer Garner & Yara Shahidi. So? WHY wasn't Yara Shahidi on the poster? Because she's a newbie? No! I see she's been in a lot of television products!
I'm just really wondering WHY she was omitted off the cover???
They wanted to bring out 'black/white' issues in the movie and give a morally correct film...cudos for the writers - and UNcudos for the cover designer!!!
I agree with you whole-heartedly!! Yara Shahidi was the BEST thing about the movie! It's crazy (and wrong!) that they'd omit her from the poster.
shareHonestly even though I disliked the character she played (just bc I felt it was as fake as fake can be) I thought she was a great young actress. I wouldn't have put her on the poster either though, just bc there were so many big names in this film that would draw in an audience, and isn't that the point of a movie poster? It has nothing to do with being fair, it's all about putting butts in seats and Hugh Jackman, Ty Burrell, Jen Gardner, Olivia Munn, Ahsley Greene, etc do a better job of that. I hope we get to see Yara Shahidi in some better roles in the future though bc I'm sure she'd kill it.
