wish less/no romance
I mean, it was nice to see him move on from Rachel years later, and not spend his entire life brooding over one woman.
It's just that it all felt a little forced and rushed for plot convenience to me.
The Miranda/Talia thing, felt like it was just there to offer a romantic buffer, time-wise, between Rachel and whoever he'd actually end up with. And it felt like it only happened because "Here's another swell who wants to help the less fortunate," which I get, but it still seems off, he couldn't really be with anyone, truly, without letting them know about Batman. And then her reveal as Talia, and he jumps to Selina. That also felt forced, like they just wanted to give him romance and of course, it had to be someone who "got" him.
Nothing wrong with the performances, all three were great, just felt like the script glossed over the romance a bit by shoving two new relationships for him in one film without having the proper time to develop either as well as they did with Rachel.
Plus I feel like romance in general is over-used as a plot. After the Talia reveal, I'd have been happy if he swore off romance and then he and Selina were just partners as their alter-egos or something, though I guess that'd have given Selina less reason to go around the world for him.
