Thad/Kevin error?

This just popped up in my head today and has been bugging me for a while so I'd like to know what people think. In the 1st season, during the Pocket P***y episode, we see Thad having a dream about his dad passing on Oxana through a friend and saying "give this to my son, etc. etc., his name is Thad". But in season 3 with BMS vs Blackwell, Thad says his real name was Kevin and that people gave him that nickname when he was young (pronouncing sad as "thad"). So do you think this was an error that the creators missed (or chose to ignore) or maybe since the dream was just Thad's imagination he imagined his dad calling him Thad?

Just distracting my brain till the movie's out.

According to the speech he gave to Alex "couch" Moran, "Thad" was given the nickname in grade 2 because of a lisp but used it ever since as motivation to excell. Given his narccistic and strong personality, I'm sure he insisted that his folks use the name as well.

He said he was "thad" that his dad was away fighting in the war so his dad was never home to hear him say that or start to get called that. I just assume Thad envisions his dad calling him that because he's so used to being called it by everyone else at this point.

Yeah, I heard you, hot shot.

If he'd been using the name since 2nd grade then it's very possible that he asked his parents to call him that , too.
