Shouldnt there be one thread about the new information?
1) So they came from meteor?
2) They arent carnevors? They just attack? What did that red stuff and that egg thing mean? They created their own food or something?
I'm curious about this too. They landed all over the planet via what looked to be meteors I believe, but if it was so widespread that would seem to be by design rather than luck. Possibly cannon fodder for another species with designs on taking over Earth?
I couldn't figure out the meaning of the egg eating. Were the eggs damaged so they ate them or were they still viable and they wanted to prevent rivals? What was the red stuff? I missed that I think.
To me it looked like food and not egg food. Like mold or something. It seemed it grew out of that red swamp thing.
War of the World has something simlar in some red weed (from the book).
