I can't believe that ending! Nothing was explained at all. The government just tell Blomqvist they will start an investigation and hire him as a consultant, but then the film suddenly ends with a scene with Dr Teleborian looking at the young Lisbet tied up in her bed.

I assumed there was about half an hour to run! The story is not explained. No loose ends are tied up. We don't know what the high level conspiracy is or who the mysterious old men are, or whether Lisbet is acquitted...etc etc etc

I can't believe it ended so prematurely. It was 1:31 on my DVD when the credits rolled. Is that correct? IMDB says it should be 147 mins!

Can anyone explain what is supposed to have happened? Why was Lisbeth committed to an asylum with all her rights removed?

The film runs 2:20 You definitely got a dud DVD!

So... tell me about these rapes!

If you can get NETFLIX INSTANT, all three of the movies are there, uncut and in HD. I'd really hate to spoil the ending for you, even though the last five minutes are pretty contrived.

Oui with the above poster. The extended versions are all split into two episodes each. Either there should be a "play episode six" or something like that on the opening menu or else you do have a dud disc.

Dodgy disc I do concur. This was 175 minutes on Film 4, so without adverts it's probably about 2.5 hours.
