Progressively got bad with a dull, boring, conveniently tying up all

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo was a great movie and I loved it because the focus of the movie was about a girl who disappears 40 years ago and is presumed dead and people want to know what happened to her. Through regular mundane but tedious investigation 2 unlikely in real life couple paired together solve the case.

What worked about the Dragon Tattoo was the movie wasn't about the girl or Micke but it was about Harriet Vanger, the girl who disappears. There was enough character development for Lisbeth Salander as well as Bloomkvist which kept the movie well rounded. The rape scene makes you angry and squirm and you feel somewhat satiated when she exacts revenge on Bjurman.

I rate that movie a solid 8.5/10

I eagerly watched the next : girl who played with fire and the last - girl who kicked the hornets nest and was horrified to discover that the last 2 movies solely focussed on Lisbeth Salander. Her backstory was neither interesting nor thrilling and the last 2 movies actually got progressively worse with plenty of plotholes, idiotic things and overall, very amateurish.

I rate the second one a 6/10 and the last a 5.5/10

I don't understand the hype behind the entire trilogy tbh. It was a good first movie followed 2 extremely weak novels.
