But at the airport in the end, you can tell they chose their own books. The family’s journey was about being more “real” with each other and themselves.

That last scene with them reading the books felt like one last dig at those characters.

There is a scene of the 2 of them sitting in the air terminal READING books, but no scene of them selecting the books themselves. Put the cell phone down.
