80s Glam Rock bands noticeably Missing ?

from the soundtrack

You can't include everyone but for me Motley Crue stood out as the biggest omission. Kickstart my Heart would have been a good song to include

reply

Doesn't have to be excluded; could have simply been denied permission to use the songs.

Something by KISS would've been nice, maybe "do you love me" or "rock and roll all nite", some AEROSMITH ballad, VAN HALEN's "jump"... just to name some of the heavyweights that were missing

reply

The 80s glam rock bands already had their own movie: Velvet Goldmine. Mmmmm.

WELL, Kickstart my heart would have worked if the film was supposed to take place in 1989, but the movie was supposed to be in 1987. Skid Row would have worked in the movie, but they screwed that up as well (released in 1989 as well) as it was clearly audible in the scene when the 2 young lovers were walking through a Towers Records perusing albums.. Kinda a screw up in the goofs dept..
