I've seen Rock of Ages twice live on stage, and it is so much better, more entertaining than this Hollywoodized piece of garbage film.
This movie changes alot of the story, adds characters and takes away others.
Awful casting.
Go see the Broadway show if it comes near you.
So much more fun than this movie.
If you grew up with 80s music and lived that time, you will have a blast at the show.
I completely agree with you; I watched the movie a while back & thought it was terrible & then I saw the broadway version last week & thought it was amazing, so much better than the movie! I'm re watching the movie now & I think the problem with the movie is that you just can't take anything about it seriously, I know it's supposed to be over the top but it just didn't work.
sharethe movie is so bad, it probably effects the ticket sales to the real stage show.
If they hate the movie, they won't want to pay a high price to see it onstage.
I was lucky to have Constantine Mouralis (sp?) on my tour, and he originated the role of Drew on Broadway.

SPOILER (I guess) I wonder why they didnt have Sherri have sex with Stacee Jaxx in the film?? That seems like an odd plot point to change. I guess they wanted to end the film with no one being a 'bad guy'. Even Stacee got a happy ending. He didnt flee America to avoid getting jail time for having sex with minors. And why didnt Sherri and Drew have a baby in the film??? Just stupid unnecessary changes. END OF SPOILERS
