I Didn't know tome cruise in it and I didn't know it was a musical. I hate musicals. I watched for the 80s rock theme and boy was it good. I don't get all the hate at all.

The maim girl is insanely hot and has this like smokey Emma stone kind of voice. I fell in love with her the second she first said anything. The strip club dirty dancing scene is so awesome.

tom cruise is great in this. I loved his performance so muc hr outdid Russel brand by far.

It had Russel brand. I love Russel brand. He wasn't so impressive in this, though.

80s rock music!!!!!

also the interviewer sex dance was off the hook.

I didn't care at all about the plot which wasn't very original at all. But I can listen to paradise city 24 hours a day so....

I'm not just here to be a hater but hell this is a discussion board and I did not like this movie! For me it was boring from start to finish, it was not funny, the actors were bad , the songs were crappy and the main character annoying. It was like watching a cheap parody of a videoclip for almost 2 hours. And yes I have to admit I don't really like musicals but I bought a four disc collection with Empire records, school of rock and Detroit rock city. In my opinion rock of ages did not deserve to be in that collection. Airheads wouldve fit 10 times better.

I love musicals but hate all the post 00s musicals except this, love this film, a 9/10 for me!
