What were your favorite songs on the soundtrack?

For me, when it comes to choosing songs that I like, it depends on how the artist is singing it, the beat and style of the music, the key its played in, and if its catchy.
On the Rock of Ages soundtrack, I especially enjoyed Paradise City, the second half of Sister Christian/Just Like Paradise/Nothin' But a Good Time (basically from Paradise onward), Waiting For a Girl Like You, Wanted Dead or Alive, Any Way You Want It, Every Rose Has Its Thorn, Rock You Like a Hurricane, We Built This City/We're Not Gonna Take It. For the rest, they were good, but either the music didn't seem right for me, the singing was distracting, or it didn't catch my attention much.
For example, Don't Stop Believin': the singing was great, but I didn't like the music key used. For me, I would prefer the original key used by Journey and the original Broadway cast, or the Glee version.
Are there songs you enjoyed very much on the soundtrack? Would you prefer the original versions, the Broadway cast versions, or the movie soundtrack versions of the songs?

Hard for me to decide I like all the music from rock of ages! I can easily sing the music in my head.

I also enjoyed all the music. I think they did a really good job at keeping the music true to the originals but still different if that makes sense. My favorites were "I Wanna Rock", "Pour Some Sugar on Me", and "Any Way You Want It".

Before I watched this movie I don't know if I would have been able to pick a favorite song of the ones used in this movie (meaning their original artists' covers, eg Poison-Nothin But a Good Time) but I will say that only after watching Cruise nail Wanted Dead or Alive has it really become my jam

Hands down, my favorite song from the Rock of Ages soundtrack would definitely be "We Built this City/We're not Gonna Take it." I felt that the tension between Patricia Whitmore's group of religious, anti-rock followers and Lonny and the rock and roll fans went perfect together. My other favorite songs include "Any Way you Want it," "Shadows of the Night/Harden my Heart," "Waiting for a Girl Like you," "Hit me with Your Best Shot" and "Juke Box Hero/I Love Rock 'n' Roll."

Same with me, the ones I enjoyed were the one with Tom Cruise and the Sherrie character. I liked their voices and performances for the genre they sang. Drew's voice wasn't very rock to me, too whiny IMO, not enough edge to it. CZJ was good as well.

I think it was Both of Tom Cruise songs.

Wanted dead or Alive and I wanna know what love is.

Now I also enjoyed very much don’t stop believing and the mix between we built this city/we are not gonna take it anymore.

I really enjoyed this movie, I want a sequel. There are so many great rock songs to cover.

If they did part 2 of Rock of Ages this would be my ideal soundtrack

Simply the best -Tina Turner
Bon Jovi- You give love a bad name
Sweet child of Mine-Guns N Roses
