Glad I saw it for free (on a plane). Horrible movie. Had no idea KR was half-Japanese, or that ancient Japan had white guys. Since they were so far into fantasy, they should have had some black men as samurais, or white girls as the geisha girls. Maybe a few hobbits or vampires or zombies to make it more interesting?

I can accept bad casting in a good movie. However, the movie was just horrible. Look at the lack of box office success (money) as a overall guide for good and bad. Lord of the Rings had bad casting (Lyv Tyler) but was a great film. 47 Ronin was not good.
