How did John get that big cut on his foot?

Did I miss something; was that ever explained? It was a deep, curved cut. thx

He cut his foot when he broke the bank window, fleeing from the bank robbery.

It's very brief and easy to miss...towards the end of the liquor store robbery John is distracted when he sees his mugshot on a TV screen. The TV reporter covering the bank robbery mentions that the robber broke the window behind her. Hence John's nasty cut :)

Thank you very much! I definitely want to see this again and pick up things I missed and look at characters' words and actions in a new light.

Kind of silly... given that the GF was in on it, what, did she suddenly yell "ROBBERY" as he was leaving, necessitating his diving through the window?
